I was at K Mart yesterday and found great prices on summer clothes. If you can think that far ahead for you, your husband or the kids, check out the clearance rack. They have most t shirts and shorts for $1.99.

Most stores have their summer clothes marked down.

FREE AMERICAN GIRL MOVIE THIS WEEKEND

My girls are talking about American Girl Dolls, and wanting one so badly for Christmas this year.
I happened to hear that the MJR Theatres are playing the Kit Kittredge American Girl Movie this Sat and Sun for FREE. Adults pay $1.00, children 12 and under are FREE. Showtimes are 11:00pm and 2:00 pm both Sat and Sun, at least the Chesterfield Theater is. Check http://www.mjrtheatres.com/ for locations and time.

While your checking that out, look at all the other weekends coming up, I heard Sat anad Sun are FREE movies for kids.

FREE BAR SOAP AT CVS

This week at CVS they have CVS brand bar soap for .99 a bar and it is generating a $1.00 ECB. I tried an orange one that was compared to Dial, and it was pretty good for FREE. Im not sure the limit on this but I have gone back twice now and keep using my $1.00 ECB to get another bar of soap FREE. So give it a try, this is an especially easy deal for any new CVS coupon shoppers.

BRIGHTEN YOUR SMILE

At most stores including CVS you can buy a trial size of Crest whitening strips for around $6.00. There are $5.00 and $7.00 coupons in the October P&G book. They do not specify trial size on the coupon. I have 4 P&G books so I will be able to get 4 FREE boxes and 4 almost free boxes of Crest whitening strips.

Kroger deals

I don't know if it is because I have been so stocked up lately with such great deals over the last few weeks, but I just haven't been to excited about many deals this week. Im hopeful next week will be better.

STOCKPILING FOR THE WINTER PART 1

Many of us have budgets we stick to every week for groceries. With fall here, and winter around the corner, now is the time to stock up. If you challenge yourself to spend maybe as little as $5.00- $10.00 extra a week, you just may grow a nice stockpile without breaking the budget.

Let me give you an example, lets say your grocery budget for the week is $75.00, by allowing yourself to go over budget by lets say$5.00-$10.00 you can collect alot of goodies and stash them away for later use.

For example this week at Meijer, there is a 10 for $10.00 sale going on with lots of variety of items to choose. That means each item is $1.00. My family loves cinnamon applesauce and it just happens to be a 10 for $10.00 item. My plan is to make a trip to Meijer this week and buy 11 jars of applesauce (you get the 11th FREE)

Now by stocking up on 11 jars of applesauce with as little as $10.00 this week you can be well on your way to a nice stash of goodies this winter.

If you put this plan into action every week until winter approaches you will have a nice stockpile of extra's to get you through winter.

STOCK THOSE CUPBOARDS!

Talking about stockpiling has got me thinking..................
Stay tuned for a series on stocking up for the winter. I will post some great tips to have your home well stocked through the bitter cold months that lay ahead. It would be great to have most household goods stocked so that you would not have to run out in an unexpected snowstorm.

I know that through couponing these last few months I have a nice stockpile of deodorant, toothpaste ,shampoo, conditioner, cleaning products, and soap. The great part is that most of these items were free!!

DON'T FORGET YOUR SUNDAY PAPER

In tomorrow's newspaper there will be 3-4 coupon inserts. That would be a great start for "new couponers" to get a nice collection of coupons going. I suggest picking up at least 2 papers. Remember if a sensational deal pops up, the more coupons you have for that item the more you can take advantage of it and start stockpiling.

So go out bright and early and get your papers!!
